Money hasn’t changed Wayne Rooney, says uncle

LONDON - Wayne Rooney’s uncle has claimed that despite being England’s richest footballer Rooney hasn’t changed.
The star’s uncle Richie, 53, who runs a Liverpool boxing club, claims Rooney is not interested in a glamorous lifestyle and just wants to play every week.
“We’re a working-class everyday family from around here, nothing special,” the Daily Star quoted Richie as saying.
“Wayne’s made lot of money but it hasn’t changed him or any of us.
“None of us want to change and we’re not interested in fancy, glamorous lives. Neither is Wayne.
“He’s different from the model pin-up footballers - he’s a true footballer.
“Players’ wages now are crazy, it’s insane, above all our heads. They’re like film stars now. Top-level football is a business more than a sport.
“Wayne is down to earth. He would never pose in his underpants like Beckham. He’d never live it down,” Richie added. (ANI)
