PERTH - Wicketkeeper-batsman Matt Prior has said that England would focus on building intensity through its skills, bowling and fielding.

“I don’t think we need to say too much or get into a war of words with anyone,” Sky Sports quoted Prior, as saying ahead of the Ashes series.

The Sussex wicketkeeper, however, accepted that each member of England’s squad in Australia is free to deal with any pointed remarks that come their way in the middle as they see fit.

But he stressed there was no collective desire for verbal fireworks on the part of the tourists.

“It’s a very individual thing, hugely so, certainly from a batsman’s point of view. Everyone has a different way of responding to it. That’s for you to work out yourself,” Prior said. (ANI)
