GUANGZHOU - It turned out to be another uneventful day for India in cue sports as Indira Gowda lost 4-5 to Thuy Vi Duon of Vietnam in the pre-quarterfinals of the women’s 8-ball pool singles event at the Asian Games here Wednesday.

Indira was the only Indian cueist competing Wednesday.

India so far have won three cue sports medals at the Games, including the billiards singles gold courtesy Pankaj Advani. The men’s snooker team won a silver.

Advani and Aditya Mehta are the two Indians left in contention and will begin their snooker campaign Thursday.

The cue sports event of the Asian Games is ending Saturday and India will be hoping to better their four medals in the previous edition at Doha.
