Gerrard hurt, Liverpool may seek 0.5-million-pound compensation from FA

LONDON - A furious Liverpool could demand almost 500,000-pound compensation from the Football Association (FA) after Steven Gerrard was ruled out for a month.
According to The Sun, Gerrard suffered a torn hamstring in England’s woeful 2-1 defeat to France as coach Fabio Capello went back on a deal to play him for just an hour.
Capello kept him on the Wembley pitch for 85 minutes on Wednesday and has promised to explain his decision in person to Kop boss Roy Hodgson.
But Anfield chiefs will discuss whether to press for compensation to cover their skipper’s 120,000-pound-a-week wages while he is sidelined. (ANI)
