Adelaide hero Swann to face drink-drive trial at home

LONDON - England spin sensation Graeme Swann will stand trial for a drink-drive case after he failed to have the charge thrown out of court.
Swann, who was instrumental in England’s emphatic win over Australia in the second Ashes Test Tuesday, was caught for drunken-driving while trying to rescue his pet cat Max in April.
The off-spinner’s lawyer Tuesday tried to have the case dismissed from the court on legal grounds but the judge ruled it should go ahead, The Sun reported.
“There is a case to answer, in my view,” District Judge Julia Newton said.
Swann has already denied the drink-driving charge. A two-day trial will take place in February.
