Haryana overcome Karnataka in National Volleyball

CHENNAI - Haryana kept their hopes alive in the mens section with a hard-fought 3-1 win against Karnataka as champions Tamil Nadu (men) and Indian Railways (women) chalked up fluent victories in the National Volleyball Championship here Tuesday.
Having lost to the Railways Monday night, Haryana came up with a spirited effort to overcome Karnataka 25-18, 28-26, 24-26, 25-23.
The Tamil Nadu men came up with another efficient performance that saw them breeze past Services 25-16, 25-17, 25-17 for their second win in Group A.
Equally impressive were the womens champions Railways who smashed their way past Tamil Nadu 25-12, 25-20, 25-17 for their second victory in Group A.
