You’ll win nothing with kids, taunts Fergie

LONDON - Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has begun playing mind games ahead of his club’s Premier League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday by taunting: You will win nothing with kids!
“We have got good players and they have all had big-game experience for years now. It’s not as if it’s new to them. Their experience is very important and the desire is still there with this club. All our players have good desire to win matches,” said a confident Fergie.
And evoking memories of Match of the Day pundit Alan Hansen’s famous criticism of the United side of the 1995-96 season, The Sun quoted Ferguson, as saying that one of the reasons for Chelsea’s recent run of poor form was the influx of youngsters.
Chelsea is now without the services of veterans like Michael Ballack. The present team has youngsters like 21-year-old Daniel Sturridge and 17-year-old Josh McEachran.
“Chelsea have been gradually introducing one or two younger players into their squad. Ballack’s contract came to the end, Juliano Belletti’s came to an end. They have replaced them with younger ones such as Sturridge and the young boy McEachran,” Fergie said. (ANI)
