NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — AS Roma are considering a January loan swoop for Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given.
According to an exclusive in the Daily Mail, Roma are back in the hunt for Given and would like to take him on loan in January until the end of the season.
It reported that in August, Roma, coached by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri, spoke about a 2million deal and also a possible swap arrangement.
Roma are understood to be facing competition for the Irishman’s signature from at least one English club.
Given’s Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni is said to be a huge fan of the keeper and has been mentioning him to several Italian clubs in a bid to help the player land first team football.
