Sania fails to qualify for ASB Classic main draw

AUCKLAND - India’s Sania Mirza Monday failed to enter the main draw of ASB Classic tennis tournament here and bowed out in the qualifiers.
The 141-ranked Indian lost 1-6, 7-6(7), 6-7(5) to Germany’s Sabine Lisicki in the last round.
Sania lost the first set in a jiffy before drawing parity. She was leading 5-2 in the final set tie-breaker before losing her way.
