Clarke says England ‘outplayed’ Australia in all facets of the game

SYDNEY - Stand-in Australian captain Michael Clarke has admitted that his team was completely outplayed by England in the five-match Ashes series.
Clarke’s comment comes after England sealed the series 3-1 by winning the fifth and final Test in Sydney by an innings and 83 runs
“It’s been a tough couple of months, to be honest. We’ve been outplayed in all facets of the game. England have showed us what execution and discipline does with the ball and then they’ve gone on to make some big scores with the bat as well,” Fox Sports quoted Clarke, as saying.
“I’m very disappointed, like all the boys. We’ve certainly got a lot of talent in our group, but we need to start showing it.”
“We need to start being a bit more consistent and, individually, being the vice-captain, I need to stand up and start scoring some more runs,” he added.
The victory gave the visitors their first Test series win in Australia since the 1986-87 tour. (ANI)
