England completely outplayed Australia: Watson

SYDNEY - All-rounder Shane Watson has admitted that Australia was completely outplayed by England in the Ashes series Down Under.

“It’s not great, is it? In the end, we are doing our absolute best and it hasn’t been enough. We have been convincingly outplayed and we have let ourselves down,” The Sun quoted Watson, as saying.

He added: “The last two games England have made the most of the conditions, whether it’s seaming and swinging, or going reverse and turning. They made the most of nice batting conditions. Hats off to them. They have played unbelievably well.”

“Going into this series, I thought there were going to be defining moments in our careers. There has been - but maybe on the wrong side,” Watson said. (ANI)
