Doherty to replace injured Hauritz for next two ODIs against England

MELBOURNE - Tasmanian spinner Xavier Doherty will replace injured Nathan Hauritz for the next two one-day internationals against England.
Doherty will join the Australian squad in Sydney on Saturday evening and will be available for selection for Sunday’s third game of the series at the SCG.
Hauritz appeared to dislocate his shoulder in Friday night’s win over England in Hobart, putting his place in the World Cup squad in doubt.
Chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said Doherty, who played in the opening two Ashes Tests this summer, deserved his opportunity.
“With the unfortunate injury to Nathan Hauritz during last night’s win, Xavier Doherty has been added to the Australian squad,” Hilditch said.
“The squad will be reviewed at the conclusion of the fourth game in the Commonwealth Bank Series when the NSP (national panel of selectors) has further information regarding the injury status of various players,” FOX Sports quoted him, as saying.
“Xavier has an excellent domestic one-day record and we are sure he will seize this opportunity to again play for Australia,” he added. (ANI)
