SYDNEY - Former Australian fast bowler Damien Fleming has endorsed the names of former Test players Andy Bichel, Jason Gillespie and Michael Kasprowicz as the next bowling coach of the current side after Troy Cooley steps down post-World Cup.

Fleming, who played 20 Tests for Australia, feels either of the trio is fit for the job because of their rich experience.

“I would love to see a guy with solid international experience around the Australian squad more than the Academy. A guy who has been there and done that. We have good options (referring the trio) and I hope Cricket Australia (CA) interviews all of them,” Fleming was quoted as saying in The Daily Telegraph.

“Having an experienced player around who knew his game well and had a few ups and downs of his own is very important.”

Gillespie played 97 Tests and used to share the new ball with legend Glenn McGrath.

Kaprowicz featured in 38 Tests while Bichel made 19 appearances.
