Shane Warne, Liz Hurley ‘to keep their romance low-profile’

MELBOURNE - They used to share their every movement on Twitter, but Shane Warne has turned his stately manor into a paparazzi-proof love bunker as his romance with British actress Elizabeth Hurley heats up.

Hurley kept a low profile when she flew into Melbourne last night, but a crowd of about 100 at the arrivals gate broke into applause when they saw her, reports News.com.au.

She smiled but said nothing about her plans with her new romeo as she exited Customs, pulling a carry-on bag while a helper pushed two large purple suitcases.

She disappeared into a Black Holden Caprice and was on her phone constantly as she was driven straight to Warne’s mansion in Brighton.

Meanwhile, teams of cleaners, builders and gardeners had slaved at the house all day.

Workmen arrived early to construct screens behind the wrought-iron fence at the front of the multi-million-dollar property to obstruct views from the street.

Warne’s father Keith later drove to the home in his Porsche to cast an eye over the renovations.

While the privacy wall was being erected, a cleaning crew arrived and was soon working its way through the property with an industrial vacuum cleaner.

Gardeners feverishly tidied the courtyard and planted shrubs.

And a furniture van turned up to drop off new goods, including what appeared to be a large mattress.

Warne’s personal assistant Helen Nolan pulled into the property and unloaded several bags of decorative bathroom items, including scented candles.

Warne is expected to host Hurley at his home, although they are also tipped to spend time at Crown Towers. (ANI)
