BARCELONA - Spanish football giants Barcelona are poised to make a 35 million pounds bid for Manchester City winger Robinho.
The Champions League winners have chosen the Brazilian star as their second option if they fail to grab on Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery.
Ribery is the primary target of Barca, however according to reports, he appears to have set his heart on Real Madrid. Chelsea and Manchester United have also made official bids for the player.
Nou Camp manager has suggested that if the Frenchman doesn’t join Barca, it will persuade Manchester City to let Robinho leave after just one season at Eastlands.
“It is always very good for any player to hear they want you,” the Mirror quoted, Robinho, as saying.
Guardiola had Chelsea’s winger Florent Malouda as one of the options, believes Robinho will be a better choice in the squad which won La Liga defeating Manchester United last month. (ANI)
