Beckham not to play in Premier League, opts for A C Milan

LOS ANGELES - England football star David Beckham had said about a week ago that he might consider returning to the Premier League to ensure his selection in the 2010 World Cup squad.
But now according to a report filed by The Mirror, Becks has said that he will be rejoining Italy’s A C Milan on loan in December.
Five top-flight clubs - Chelsea, Spurs, Everton, Aston Villa and Portsmouth - were prepared to cut a deal with Becks MLS employees LA Galaxy next season.
But the 34-year-old has decided to reject offers from England and return to Italy.
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said: “The most likely hypothesis is that Beckham plays for us from January until the end of the season. David knows that the doors of [the club's training ground] Milanello are always open for him.”
Milan’s current coach Leonardo also made it clear he would welcome the former England captain back. (ANI)
