OT Eben Britton signs 4-year deal with Jaguars
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Second-round draft pick Eben Britton has signed a four-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, leaving the team with one unsigned rookie heading into training camp.
Britton’s deal is worth about $4.6 million, with $2.8 million guaranteed. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound offensive tackle, the 39th overall selection, was a three-year starter at Arizona and is expected to compete with Tony Pashos for a starting spot at right tackle when camp begins Monday.
First-rounder Eugene Monroe, expected to start at left tackle this fall, was Jacksonville’s lone holdout as players reported Sunday.
Last year’s first-round pick, defensive end Derrick Harvey, held out 33 days before signing. The Jaguars hope to avoid a similar scenario with Monroe.
