LONDON - Argentine football star Carlos Tevez has rented a new house, which is one of the most eco-friendly homes in England, it has emerged.
Tevez’s new house rented at 12,000 pounds per month has a host of energy saving equipment that can save the consumption of fossil fuel by 75 percent.
The Manchester City striker was quite amazed to see the eco-friendly cost cutting devices installed at the house.
The Daily Star quoted a source as saying: “Carlos has been blown away by the eco-systems in the house. He comes from South America so he knows all about the destruction of the rainforests and is keen to do his bit to save the planet.
“There are loads of energy-saving gadgets in the home such as water devices and heat conservation. He loves it all. He is probably the greenest footballer in the country. He has been telling all his new team-mates about it.
“Craig Bellamy is also in the City squad and the joke among the lads is that Carlos is the new David Bellamy.”
The five-bedroom house uses the warmth of the ground water to heat the house.
It also has a modern ventilation system, which allows fresh air in at all times.
The house also has rainwater-harvesting facilities that are used in all the toilets and for watering the garden.
The 8,000sq ft home has five reception rooms, five bedrooms and a beautiful sitting room. It also has all facilities for leisure, which include a 12metre swimming pool, gym, cinema, custom-built wine cellar - and even a “wine tasting area”. (ANI)
