Visa renews NFL sponsorship through 2014 season
SAN FRANCISCO — Visa Inc., allied with the National Football League since 1995, says it has renewed its NFL sponsorship for another five seasons.
Under the agreement disclosed Tuesday, Visa will serve as the exclusive payment service for all official NFL events through the 2014 season.
Financial terms were not revealed.
Visa will sponsor the NFL draft and NFL kickoff, as well as a Visa and NFL Web site for Visa Signature cardholders to get access to “one-of-a-kind NFL experiences,” among other provisions.
Also in coming weeks, Visa plans to roll out a television ad campaign, in addition to print advertisements, with an NFL theme.
Visa shares rose $1.02, or 1.4 percent, to close at $74.41 Tuesday.
