Star UCLA defender Moore leaves with concussion
STANFORD, Calif. — UCLA free safety Rahim Moore, the nation’s leader in interceptions and passes defended, suffered a concussion against Stanford on Saturday after making a late hit.
He left the game early in the second quarter and the school said he wouldn’t return.
Moore was called for a personal foul penalty on the play for hitting Cardinal tight end Coby Fleener after a pass from Andrew Luck sailed way over Fleener’s head at the 13:09 mark of the second quarter.
Moore, a sophomore with five interceptions and nine passes defended, jarred his entire upper body when he hit Fleener.
