Tottenham’s Defoe sharpens skills by watching footie greats on YouTube

LONDON - Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe insists that watching goal scoring greats on YouTube helps him to sharpen his skills.
Having scored five goals against Wigan in a Tottenham nine-one score line, Defoe puts things in perspective by admitting: “I don’t think I’ve scored five even on my PlayStation.”
I think I scored five in a youth team, years ago at West Ham. And I definitely scored four there against Aston Villa in the youth team,” The Telegraph quotes him, as saying further.
“Every day in training for about 20 minutes a few of the boys stay behind with Les Ferdinand and Clive Allen,” Defoe revealed.
“I watched some of Clive’s goals the other day on YouTube and it’s important to do that to learn,” The Telegraph quoted him, as saying further.
Defoe now has three ambitions for the season: to finish as top scorer and win the Premier League’s golden boot, to go to the World Cup finals with England and to take Spurs into next year’s Champions League. (ANI)
