FC Dallas signs defender Aziz Ansah of Ghana

FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas has signed defender Aziz Ansah, a member of the World Cup-bound Ghana national team.

The 29-year-old Ansah spent the past two seasons with Heartland FC in Nigeria. He will be eligible to play for FC Dallas pending receipt of international transfer paperwork.

Ansah has played for teams in Israel, Belgium, Italy and Ghana since turning pro in 1998. He was a member of Ghana’s U-17 national team and recently started in a friendly against Angola.
