Ishant strikes twice to take India closer to victory

CHITTAGONG - Ishant Sharma took two wickets to take India closer to victory as Bangladesh were struggling at 136 for five at lunch on the fifth day of the first cricket Test here Thursday.

Bangladesh are trailing by 278 runs with skipper Shakib Al Hasan (11) and his deputy Mushfiqur Rahim (1) at the crease.

Resuming their second innings at 67/2 Thursday and chasing a victory target of 415 runs, Bangladesh lost Mohammad Ashraful for 27 in the fourth over of the morning. The former captain gave a simple catch to Rahul Dravid at second slip off Ishant Sharma.

Ishant struck again dismissing Raqibul Hassan leg before for 13.

Tamim Iqbal showed some resistance scoring 52 runs before Virender Sehwag got his wicket caught by Dravid at slip just before the break.
