ADELAIDE - After securing a two-nil lead in the current one-day series with Pakistan, the Australians have said that they are determined to keep their feet on the throat of the visitors, and not give them a chance of making a comeback.

Following the three-Test whitewash, player disharmony, constant speculation about the future of captain Mohammad Yousuf and a 2-0 deficit in the best-of-five one-day series, it will take a miracle for Pakistan to save the series in Adelaide tomorrow.

“I’ve got a feeling with this group and the way we’ve been playing cricket that we won’t let them back into the competition,” the Daily Telegraph quoted Ponting, as saying.

“The next game we play is on Australia Day and I’d be disappointed if the boys didn’t turn up to play in an even better frame of mind than they did today,” he added.

The heroes of the Sydney win were Shane Watson, Cameron White and Doug Bollinger. (ANI)
