Winter Olympics 2010 Opening Ceremonies about to begin

Opening ceremonies of Winter Olympics 2010 is about to begin in Vancouver, Canada tonight. The opening show will be shown live from 7:30 p.m. on NBC. Beginning today the Winter olympics will run for more than a week until February 28th.

The sports events at the olympics will include the traditional figure skating, alpine skiing, hockey and curling, as well as new entries in “extreme sports” like snowboarding.

Friday night is the 2010 Winter Olympics from Vancouver.

TV coverage starts at 7:30 PM EST 4:30 PM PST.

3. NBA All Star Wekeend Rookie Game and Slam Dunk-In Contest (Slam Dunk Contest Eliminator)

The NBA All Star Weekend starts at 9 PM EST 6 PM PST with the T Mobile Rookie Challenge. During the half time it’s the Slam Dunk eliminator called the Dunk-In!
Raptors’ DeMar DeRozan and Clippers’ Eric Gordon will face off in the All-Star Slam Dunk-In during the halftime of the Friday night Rookie Challenge. Their challenge will be a single round two dunk event. Their winner joins Saturday’s Slam Dunk contest.
