Haling from the host country, that is, Canada, Ashleigh McIvor’s win of the gold makes it the sixth to have been won by Canada in this year’s Winter Olympics. This win definitely comes as a big thing for Ashleigh McIvor, considering that she had participated in the Winter Olympics along with her boyfriend Chris Del Bosco, the very same person who had failed to win a gold at the ski cross for men just two days back.

She admitted, frankly, that as she stood in the starting gate of the course, she felt that all her life, she was waiting for this one moment.
