FLORIDA (GaeaTimes.com)- Myron Rolle of the University of Florida was chosen by the Tennessee Titans, after a long wait for a whole day. So much was the tension of not hearing his name called, as the third day of the National Football League draft dwindled to a close, that the safety back decided to take a break from it, switching over to a comedy show and half an hour of sleep. No surprises, then, that when his name was ultimately called, it came as a huge relief, both to him and his family. The hardest part, he admitted, was watching the disappointment in the faces of his family members, who definitely thought that he would be making it far before the close of day.
Myron Rolle admitted, after his name was announced in the draft, as the last name of the day, in the sixth round of the draft, that he had known that he would be chosen in the third day, and not before that. He also said that he had definitely dropped down in the draft list, given that he had not been in the football circle for almost a year. However, he did not expect that his absence would have resulted in him dropping so far.
Myron Rolle admitted that he found it even more difficult to digest as he watched players being drafted who had been ranked far below him in the mock drafts. However, after hearing his name being called out, and that too by the Tennessee Titans, he was extremely happy. He said that it was an honor to be drafted in the NFL, and that he just wanted to make the best of that opportunity.
