WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- Terrence Jones, the forward player of the Jefferson High School on Friday announced that he intends to join the Washington Huskies team. The announcement comes after the player made official recruiting visit last week to the Kansas State team. Considered as one of the top unsigned prospect, Terrence Jones was considering five teams and came with the ultimate decision on Friday. The player maintained that his decision to join the Washington Huskies comes as he wants to remain close to his home. However, the Washington Huskies did not comment on the announcement or the player on Friday.
Terrence Jones has to his credit an average of 32 points and 13 rebounds in every game last season and had contributed immensely to the success of the Jefferson High School team in the state basketball. Terrence Jones was considered as one of the top 20 high school recruits this year in the country and rated as the No.9 senior by a leading sports channel. The player can play in both the forward positions which will no doubt help his new team to develop the offense.
However, on Friday Terrence Jones was not the only player to announce the team preference. The Washington Huskies announced that it had received a national letter of intent from the Jefferson High school guard Terrence Ross. The team management which has according to reports has yet not received a letter of intent from Terrence Jones, decided to maintain silence over the matter. The rules of NCAA prohibit any team from making any prior announcement or discussion on players from whom they have not received a letter of intent.
