Flyers hope home ice helps comeback
VOORHEES, N.J. — Here’s a fact for the Flyers to chew on. While Philadelphia remains optimistic it can win its playoff series against Boston, only twice in 14 tries have the Flyers come back from an 0-2 hole to win a round.
The Flyers hope returning home for Game 3 on Wednesday will make a difference. Flyers forward Danny Briere said Tuesday that Philadelphia needs to play with more desperation. He says he wants to take Boston’s “will away.”
The Flyers haven’t won a series after trailing 0-2 since beating Pittsburgh in the 2000 Eastern Conference semifinals. Brian Boucher was the goalie in that series and he’ll back in net for Game 3.
