Czechs beat France 6-2 at hockey worlds
COLOGNE, Germany — Jaromir Jagr set up three goals to help the Czech Republic beat France 6-2 on Sunday in its opening game in the world hockey championships.
Jiri Novotny had a goal and two assists for the Czechs.
Group C rival Sweden beat Norway 5-2.
In Group A, Russia beat Slovakia 3-1, and Belarus rallied to top Kazakhstan 5-2.
