Denmark leads Cameroon 2-1 after 75 minutes
PRETORIA, South Africa — Dennis Rommedahl scored one goal and created another to give Denmark a 2-1 lead over Cameroon at the 75 minute mark in an exciting Group E match at the World Cup.
Rommedahl gave his team the lead in the 61st minute after he went past Jean Makoun and curled a left-footed shot past Cameroon goalkeeper Hamidou Souleymanou.
Rommedahl had been central in the move that got Denmark back in the match after Samuel Eto’o put Cameroon ahead in the 10th minute.
Nicklas Bendtner tied the game in the 33rd when Rommedahl deftly found the Arsenal forward in the penalty area following a long diagonal pass from Simon Kjaer.
A draw or a Denmark win would clinch a spot in the round of 16 for the Netherlands, which is leading the group.
