Cameroon 1-0 up against Denmark after 15 minutes
PRETORIA, South Africa — Samuel Eto’o has put Cameroon up 1-0 against Denmark after 15 minutes of their World Cup match Saturday.
Eto’o slotted the ball past goalkeeper Thomas Sorenson after Christian Poulsen’s pass to Simon Kjaer was intercepted in the 10th minute.
Cameroon had controlled the ball in the opening stages.
Denmark’s best chance fell to Dennis Rommedahl, who shot high in the seventh minute after being put through by Poulsen.
The venue, Loftus Versfeld, was around three-quarters full at kickoff.
