CB Williams back with Pack for mandatory minicamp
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Cornerback Tramon Williams is back with the Green Bay Packers for this week’s mandatory minicamp.
Williams waited until the last minute to sign his restricted free agent tender offer last week. On Monday, he downplayed his desire for a long-term contract, and says he is simply ready to play football.
Coach Mike McCarthy says veteran Al Harris is not likely to be ready for the start of training camp as he recovers from a serious knee injury. Outside of Charles Woodson, Harris and Williams, the team doesn’t have much experience at cornerback.
