Nigeria, South Korea 1-1 in World Cup match
DURBAN, South Africa — Nigeria and South Korea are tied 1-1 at halftime in their final Group B match as both teams vie for a spot in the knockout round.
Kalu Uche scored in the 12th minute, stretching his right leg to meet a cross from Chidi Odiah from the right wing. Uche nearly added another in the 36th, when his hard shot hit the goalpost.
But the Koreans leveled two minutes later with Lee Jung-soo scored off a free kick from Ki Sung-yong.
The Koreans missed two early chances in the fast-paced game, but the Nigerians steadily gained dominance.
Nigeria has zero points while South Korea has three, level on points and goal differential with Greece. Argentina has six.
