DURBAN, South Africa — Brazil and Portugal are at 0-0 after 30 minutes in their final Group G match at the World Cup on Friday.
Neither side posed any serious threat at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Dani Alves’ two shots at goal failed to trouble Portuguese keeper Eduardo. Portugal’s Tiago fired a shot over the crossbar in the 18th minute.
Luis Fabiano was carded for a foul on Portuguese midfielder Pepe.
Portugal is without injured playmaker Deco. For Brazil, Julio Baptista replaced the suspended Kaka and Dani Alves came in for the injured Elano. Coach Dunga kept Robinho on the bench.
Brazil has already reached the knockout stage, while Portugal is on target to advance even with a defeat.
