Germany’s FUFfers give England’s WAGs a run for their money

LONDON - England’s WAGs are facing heavy competition from Germany’s own version - the FUFfers.
The frauen und freundinnen, wives and girlfriends, of Germany’s footballers, include blonde model Sarah Brandner, 21, who is the partner of midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, 25, the Sun reported.
She had shot to fame after she started dating Schweinsteiger two years ago, and she has famously posed in nothing but body paint for Sports Illustrated, the paper said.
Another high-profile FUFfer is defender Philipp Lahm’s fiancee Claudia Schattenberg, 26. They have been dating for two years and plan to wed on July 14 - three days after the World Cup final.
Next is 24-year-old striker Mario Gomez and his girlfriend Silvia Meichel, 22, who have been dating since their teens.
Werder Bremen winger Mesut Ozil, 21, is dating student Anna-Maria Lagerblom, 28, and keeper Tim Wiese, 28, is married to Grit Freiberg and the couple have a three-year-old daughter, Alina.
Defender Jerome Boateng, 21, is dating Sherin Sendler, who is studying fashion, and among the youngest of the lot is model Lisa Muller, who married midfielder Thomas Muller in December at 20. (ANI)
