Paraguay, Japan at 0-0 after 15 minutes
PRETORIA, South Africa — Paraguay and Japan are 0-0 after 15 minutes of their World Cup second-round match.
Japan had a couple of attacks by their fullbacks but neither team created a clear chance in the opening stages of Tuesday’s game.
Paraguay made five changes to its lineup from the previous group game against New Zealand.
Forward Edgar Benitez was brought in for his first start of the tournament, while Nestor Ortigoza came on for the suspended Victor Caceres in the holding midfield role.
Japan stuck with the same lineup that played all three group games.
