LONDON - England manager Fabio Capello has turned down a million pound offer to write a book about the Three Lions’ World Cup campaign.

Capello was approached by top American sports agent Charlie Stillitano to give his inside view of the tournament in South Africa.

Stillitano heads the sports division of the world-renowned Creative Artists Agency.

A close friend of Capello said: “CAA were very keen to do this book about the World Cup and really pushed Fabio to do it, but he told them he had no interest in writing a book about the World Cup.”

“He told them this very firmly before the finals began, but they have refused to take ‘No’ for an answer. They said ‘Let’s see how you feel after the World Cup’, but England’s campaign was nowhere near as successful as Fabio hoped, so there’s even less chance of him putting pen to paper now,” The Sun quoted the friend, as saying.

He further said that even if Capello does lose his England job in two weeks’ time, he “still won’t agree to dish the dirt on what went wrong”.

“It might make him a lot of money, but it’s just not his style,” he added. (ANI)
