BLOEMFONTEIN - Fabio Capello refused to confirm Sunday whether he will stay on as England coach after a 4-1 hammering by Germany that saw his side crash out of the World Cup football at the Round of 16 stage.

The Italian said he first wants to discuss the issue with FA international committee chairman Sir Dave Richards before making any decision.

“I want to speak with the chairman to decide my future,” Capello said. “I don’t know if he has confidence in me or not.”

Capello recently extended his contract with England until after Euro 2012 but will now meet with Richards when the team returns home.

“I speak when I come back to London,” he said. “I have time to decide.”
