Home Run Derby Held At Anaheim

ANAHEIM (GaeaTimes.com)- Home Run Derby on Angle Stadium on Monday night although felt the absence of some top hitter of the Major League baseball, had some amazing actions and homers shots to soar the heat up. From Boston Red Sox’s David Ortiz to Chris Young all tried their best to make it to the trophy. However, while some succeeded, there were many who showed unexpectedly poor performance. This time eight baseball hitter participated in the game out of which five were young baseball players making the game for the veterans to a bit easy. At the same time this time no defending champion or a former champion of the Home Run Derby had returned to the field.

In the first round Corey Hart was the show stealer as he went for a grand 13 points. The Milwaukee Brewers player delivered some brilliant shots which made many feel that this year’s Home Run Derby trophy will go the Corey Hart. His points were followed by Hanley Ramirez who came up with 9 homers. David Ortiz managed 8 homers while the least score came from Chris Young of Arizona Wildcats who saved his face by making one hit.

In the second round David Ortiz and Hanley Ramirez took the lead and tied the subtotal at 21. Corey Hart failed to make a single hit in the second round and slipped to the third position with his 13. Corey Hart and Miguel Cabrera got eliminated after the second round as they failed to score any. It was the amazing 11 hits of David Ortiz in the last round that led him to the Home Run Derby Trophy for the first time.
