Wild re-sign backup goalie Harding to 1-year deal
ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Wild have re-signed backup goalie Josh Harding to a one-year, $1.2 million contract.
The deal was announced Wednesday.
The 26-year-old Harding went 9-12 with a 3.05 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage with one shutout in 25 games last season playing behind Niklas Backstrom.
Harding was a restricted free agent whose qualifying offer from last month was set to expire on Thursday.
Harding was a second-round draft pick by the Wild in 2002. The Saskatchewan native has a 28-39-4 record, 2.66 goals-against average and .915 save percentage in 83 games, including 65 starts.
