LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Free-agent forward Matt Barnes has signed a two year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Matt Barnes in his homepage of social networking site announced earlier this week that he will be playing for Toronto Raptors, however, the deal fell through in the middle and the veteran player joined Los Angeles Lakers.
Matt Barnes will play with Theo Ratliff, Derrick Caracter, Devin Ebanks and other talented players. Matt Barnes played 58 games last year with Orlando Magic and averaged 8.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in each game. This is going to be Matt Barnes‘ eighth NBA team and the player is excited to be a part of Los Angeles Lakers. Matt Barnes has also averaged 7.3 points for Phoenix Suns during his 2008-09 season. With Matt Bernes in the team the Los Angeles Lakers are expecting that the team has a fair chance of winning the next NBA title.
