WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama welcomes the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints to the White House on Monday.
The Saints will hold a football clinic with Washington-area children before the event with Obama. After their White House meeting, the Saints players will visit wounded troops and their families at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Later in the morning, Obama flies to Texas, where he will attend Democratic Party fundraisers in Austin and Dallas. He’ll also discuss higher education and the economy at the University of Texas at Austin.
