Days after divorce, Tiger finally gets out of the Woods

PARAMUS - Three days after ending his marriage to Elin Nordegren, World No.1 golfer Tiger Woods fired seven birdies to take the lead after round one of The Barclays Classic.
Woods finished 18 holes with a six-under 65 to lead by a stroke alongside fellow American Vaughn Taylor at the Ridgewood Country Club in New Jersey.
The 34-year-old took advantage of ideal conditions with a solid ball-striking round in which he missed just one fairway and three greens.
“It’s exciting to hit the ball flush like this again. It’s something I’ve been missing all year,” The Telegraph quoted Woods, as saying.
Ryan Palmer and Brian Gay are one stroke away on 66.
This is the first time that he is leading after any round on the PGA Tour since the Tour Championship last September. (ANI)
