Central Florida goes on road to beat Buffalo 24-10
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Ronnie Weaver ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns to break a tie and help Central Florida beat Buffalo 24-10 on Saturday night.
Buffalo (1-2) capped a 14-play, 80-yard drive with a 3-yard touchdown pass from Jerry Davis to Terrel Jackson that tied the game 10-10 with 8:56 left in the third quarter.
Weaver then scored on a 14-yard touchdown run with 9:53 remaining in the game to give UCF (2-1) a 17-10 lead. He scored on a 1-yard run to put the game out of reach for the Bulls.
UCF took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter on a 39-yard field goal by Nick Cattoi. The Bulls answered with A.J. Principe’s 27-yarder early in the second quarter.
After a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown by Bruce Miller, the Knights led 10-3 at halftime.
Marcus Rivers caught seven passes for 102 yards for Buffalo.
