Cleveland Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson lost for the season with chest muscle injury

CLEVELAND — Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson’s is out for the season with the same kind of injury that ended last season after 10 games.

The team placed Jackson on injured reserve on Saturday and replaced him with Sam Aiken, a veteran wide receiver released by New England earlier this month.

Jackson had just returned to practice this week from a partially torn chest muscle sustained in training camp on Aug. 10. He practiced on Wednesday, but felt tightness and fatigue in his pectoral muscle on Thursday.

Jackson said Friday he thought it was only a minor setback and he expected to practice again next week.

But the Browns decided to put him on IR. Jackson missed Cleveland’s final 10 games in 2009 after tearing his left pectoral muscle and needing surgery.

Also, the Browns listed wide receiver Brian Robiskie and nose tackle Shaun Rogers as out for Sunday’s game in Baltimore. The team said wide receiver/kick returner Joshua Cribbs was questionable with an ankle injury.
