Bishop leads Blues to 2-0 win over Avalanche

DENVER — Ben Bishop stopped 28 shots as the St. Louis Blues beat the Colorado Avalanche 2-0 in a preseason game Sunday night.

TJ Oshie scored a power-play goal for his first score of the preseason. Brad Boyes added an empty-net goal and an assist and Erik Johnson had an assist for St. Louis (3-2-0).

The Blues killed off five six power plays.

Johnson skated off the ice with 1:39 left in the first period after taking a puck to the left cheek. He returned at the start of the second period.

Craig Anderson was tested more than Bishop. Anderson turned aside 35 of 37 shots for Colorado (1-3-0).

The Avalanche beat the Blues 3-1 on Sept. 21 in St. Louis.
