Blue Jackets rally, beat winless Wild 3-2 in SO
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nikita Filatov scored in regulation and the shootout, and David Leneveu stopped the last two Wild shooters to rally the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 3-2 preseason victory over winless Minnesota on Tuesday night.
The Blue Jackets (2-3), who trailed 2-0, got even on Nick Holden’s point shot through traffic midway through the third period. Filatov scored a power-play goal from the left circle earlier in the third.
Kristian Huselius also tallied in the shootout, and Anton Stralman added two assists in regulation for Columbus. Mathieu Garon played the first 30 minutes, allowing one goal on 15 shots.
Matt Cullen and Eric Nystrom scored in the second period for the Wild (0-3-2). Niklas Backstrom went the distance in goal, making 31 saves.
