Doscher’s 3 TDs leads Wagner past Bryant 29-21
NEW YORK — Nick Doscher threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns to lead Wagner to a 29-21 win over Bryant on Saturday.
The Seahawks (2-2, 1-1 Northeast Conference) trailed 13-12 late in the second quarter, but a 6-yard touchdown pass from Doscher to Chris Jaeger pulled Wagner in front for good.
Bryant (3-2, 0-2) got on the board first after a 1-yard touchdown run from Jordan Brown on the Bulldogs first possession of the ballgame.
Wagner defensive end Mike Cox forced a safety on Bryant’s next possession and David Lopez added a 35-yard field goal to pull the Seahawks to within two points, 7-5.
Doscher, who rushed for 62 yards, had touchdown passes of 62 and 18 yards as Wagner increased its second half lead to 29-13 late in the third quarter.
A 2-yard touchdown run by Wagner’s Mike Canfora and a successful two-point conversion made the score 29-21.
