Packers hit by injuries, Barnett not ruled out
GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers are being hit hard by injuries going into Sunday’s game at Washington.
Coach Mike McCarthy hasn’t yet given up on linebacker Nick Barnett’s season. Barnett hurt his wrist and multiple media reports have indicated his season might be over. McCarthy says Barnett is getting a second opinion and nothing has been decided.
Linebacker Brandon Chillar is getting a second opinion on his shoulder. And there are concerns about the health of right tackle Mark Tauscher, who also has a shoulder injury.
The Packers have already lost safety Morgan Burnett, running back Ryan Grant and defensive end Justin Harrell for the season.
